Interactive Newsprint

Co-Design Experiments with Inks that Sense Our Touch

Interactive Newsprint was a co-created project with the communities of Preston and beyond to experiment with a brand new technology called interactive paper. Researchers from UCLan, Dundee and Surrey set out to find out whether interactive paper – which utilised silver and carbon based conductive inks – could become an interesting way of telling news stories or providing information about what’s happening in the local community, and potentially create a new platform for community news.
